Donations

Amity House is grateful for the generosity of the community, which enables us to provide much needed services. We are fortunate to receive core funding from government sources, however this does not cover all of our program expenses.

How can you help?

Sponsor a Collective Kitchen:

Individuals or companies can sponsor a Collective Kitchen session. Your $40 donation will provide 20 people with 4 nutritious meals to take home.

Give us your stuff:

Amity House has a swap shop where people in need can get used clothing, toys, small household items, etc. for free. We are always in need of clean usable donations to give away.

Sponsor a snack:

Amity House provides the children in Teaching Tots with a nutritious snack every day. There are opportunities for individuals or companies to sponsor our snack program and help give our kids a fair start.

Buy us Lunch:

Our community lunch provides countless children and adults with a hot, nutritious lunch twice per month. Individuals or companies can provide us with the groceries to provide these meals to the people we serve.

Sponsor a field trip:

We are looking for individuals or companies to sponsor monthly field trips. We also go on 2 fantastic field trips during the summer, taking the children to places they would never otherwise be able to go, like Drumheller.

Childrens supplies:

Good quality educational toys, games, books and art supplies are always needed in Teaching Tots.

Donate cash:

Amity House is a registered charity, and tax receipts are provided for all donations over $10.00. Your donations go directly into providing valuable programs to families and individuals, many living in poverty.

Spread the word:

Poverty knows no boundaries, and does not discriminate. Poverty exists in almost every neighborhood, in every section of the city. It is NOT just an inner city problem. There are lots of great community organizations all over Edmonton that are helping people in need. Find out what organizations are helping people in your community and get involved!
